For over thirty years, Jason Muhammad has been a beacon of educational excellence in Rochester, New York. From an inspiring start as a high school teacher to becoming a transformative leader, Muhammad's journey highlights his dedication to uplifting urban communities through education. His early recognition, such as the nomination for the National Sallie Mae Teacher of the Year Award, set the stage for his impactful career.

Transitioning to educational leadership in 2002, Muhammad took on roles that shaped schools and
communities alike. His commitment at James Monroe High School to bridge cultural differences and
improve underperforming institutions is a testament to his strategic and compassionate approach.
Muhammad's coaching career also underscores his ability to mentor youth and foster a positive school
environment. His revival of Monroe's dormant football program is just one example of his leadership and
innovative spirit. 

Amidst global challenges, Muhammad stepped into the role of Principal at Monroe High during the pandemic, implementing programs like S.M.A.R.T. that align students' athletic passions with academic achievements.  His tenure as a principal marked by tangible improvements and a thriving school culture reflects his commitment to educational transformation.  Subsequently, he was awarded Administrator of The Year for 2023-2024.

Muhammad's academic journey includes a B.A. from the University of Rochester and two M.S. degrees in Education and Educational Leadership, equipping him with the expertise to drive change. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Buffalo.  Beyond academia, Muhammad is a community activist and cherished member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Jason Muhammad's rich personal life includes his wife, Kadara, and their six children, forming the heart of his inspiration and his life's work.
